One good thing to know is what not to shoot at when you are training and practicing with your weapon. Shooting at the wrong target could injure or kill you or someone else in the area. We found a good video that covers what not to shoot at.
Here is a summary of the video:
Don’t shoot at:
- Flat surfaces – water, hard flat ground
- Hard Objects – Rocks, trees, solid metal objects (not designed for target shooting)
- All guns are always loaded.
- Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
- Keep your finger off the triggeruntil your sights are on the target.
- Be sure of your target, what is in line with it, and what is beyond it.
Check out the video for demonstration of what can happen. Have you ever seen an accident on the range caused by shooting at the wrong target? Let us know in the comments.
