While we are not total fans of a shotgun for home defense (read about this here), a good one in trained hands does make a pretty good home defense weapon.

There are six features that you should look for when picking out a shotgun for home defense – barrel length, stock length, extended magazine, spare ammo carrier, sight upgrade, and a mounted light.
