Drawing a Weapon in a Struggle

a weapon in a struggle

It’s a worst case scenario, but you need to know how to get out a weapon in a struggle.

Let’s say that in spite of you practicing the Tueller Drill, someone was able to close on you. In the ensuing struggle, you could get beat up, knocked unconscious, stabbed or have your gun taken away from you and shot by it.

We found a great video that walks you through what you need to know and practice in order to be able to draw a weapon in a struggle and be able to use it.

It talks about four movements to use in the struggle:

  • an underhook
  • an overhook
  • a bicep tie
  • a wrist tie

Make sure you watch the video and let us know in the comments what you think.
