Close Quarter Shooting

close quarter shooting

When you are up close and personal to the threat, you really need to have your close quarter shooting techniques down. The last thing you want is for the threat to injure you, take your gun away or even you shooting yourself.

Carry concealed or even carry open is great but once someone gets close to you, you should have practiced drawing the weapon out in a manner that keeps it secure and you safe. We found a good video that demonstrates good ways to get your weapon in operation in such cases.

A word to safety. These are advanced drills. The drawing drills are okay to practice with a dry gun, but make sure it is dry and all ammo is out of the area. The shooting drills are very advanced. You shouldn’t do these without supervision from a trained instructor.

Check out the video and let us know your experiences.
