Good Drill for Trigger Finger Discipline

Trigger finger discipline is a skill that we should work at. Jerking the trigger is one of the main causes of misses.

We found a great video that demonstrates a drill you can do at any range which will give you some good feedback:

• Load a single round into your chamber.
• Take up a good sight  picture and fire a round using all the trigger discipline you can.
• Even though the gun won’t won’t load another round, go ahead and go through getting a sight picture and taking another shot.

You will see if you are jerking or anticipating recoil.

It should go without saying, but make sure you are following all the rules of gun safety.
