Teaching Others to Shoot Safely

You take on additional responsibility when you teach others to shoot. Part of that is learning how to shoot safely for both them, you and others on the range.

Never expect a newbie to do the right thing. The problem is that they don’t know what to do and even worse don’t know that they don’t know.

We found a great video from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center on Range Safety for Firearms Instructors. It might look a bit dated, but the points made are still good for today. Also you might have one student or many, there are good tips here for everyone.
